VERA
When a broken young woman enters the labyrinth of her mind in search of the truth she’s long denied, she must confront the thing that holds her hostage. But to escape, she must face her deepest fear, and only one can leave. Vera is a surreal and haunting exploration of identity, truth, the cost of self-reflection, and rejection of grace. Blending psychological tension with striking visuals, the film invites viewers into an atmospheric descent where reality bends, mirrors lie, and choices define survival.
OUR WHY
This short film explores the hidden battle that takes place within the mind when confronted with fear, trauma, and truth. Vera is a story of identity, duality, and survival, told through the lens of a woman forced to face the darkest parts of herself.
What sets this piece apart is its use of psychological surrealism. Rooms, mirrors, and shifting realities become metaphors for memory and denial. Each moment is designed to feel both intimate and unsettling, pulling the audience into Vera’s fractured perspective. The result is not just a thriller, but an emotional confrontation with the question of who we really are when nothing can be hidden.
At its core, Vera is about choice. It asks what happens when we are forced to confront the version of ourselves we have buried. It challenges the audience to step into that same reflection and wonder which part of them would make it out alive.
